Senator Elissa Slotkin has launched what she’s calling a “war plan” — not just against Donald Trump’s comeback campaign, but against the culture of caution that she says is paralyzing her own party. And her message? The time for being polite is over.

At the multiple rallies and town halls I’ve attended since January - what animates people the most is wanting Dems to FIGHT BACK - they cheer most loudly when the words FUCK and FIGHT are used.

The consultant class is riddled with GOP enablers who are trying to scare Dem officials into passivity saying it will “hurt the brand” to be combative

That’s FUCKING bullshit. FIGHT.

Just earlier today, someone posted a comment "where are the leaders?". IMHO, Slotkin is clearly one of the more obvious answers to that question. We need more like this.

Apparently I reacted prematurely. I can get a bit overexuberant on the rare occasion that someone comes along who sounds right. {{sigh}} I guess I'll just have to keep waiting and hoping.

She is freakin’ correct! We need more firebrands like her, AOC, Bernie…speakers with passion and conviction. As much as I love the wonky stuff, the only way to get voters to rise up is to scare the living shit out of them, by convincing them they are about to lose something incredibly precious (as it happens, it’s all too true). Keep hammering away at that, with stories and visuals, (and facts) to drive the message home. The nationwide protests are a great start.

The ReThugs are past masters at emotional manipulation. Perhaps we should take a few lessons from their playbook.

Absolutely, I love her! She can flatten a Repug with just a raised eyebrow! There are many, too many to name, so many awesome ones…I can’t think of all of them, but I’d know most of them the moment a name is said. But they need to be out there like now!

I wonder why this wasn’t the thinking during the confirmation hearings. We all watched McConnell give us a road map. We were all present for the first trump administration. And we all watched him promise to disregard the constitution during his campaign. We should have come out the gate fighting.

"Imagine ranking Democrats publicly confronting Trump’s picks" I thought exactly this, though I didn't know the number offhand. She voted yes on KristifuckingNoem. What the hell. And NOW she's talking about standing up to him? BULLSHIT.

Yup, if you look at her record, this is posturing. And even if you hadn't, getting into grammar wars like “quit saying big words” and “woke = bad” is another tell tale sign that a Centrist is puffing their chest without really doing much apart from throwing passive aggressive jabs at the people who have actually been rallying the masses: Bernie, AOC, Crockett, Green, Casar, Murphy. This was much less about opposing the Grifter Old Party and more about feeling good that she made fun of people she dislikes (Real Progressives) without having to name them. Let the people who actually know how to take down Oligarchs lead and start getting out of their way. Making fun of Progressives does nothing but prove how petty you are. It also shows how out of touch you are with the Working Class. The attacks and exploitation of the 1% against us 99% have been escalating for decades. McFelon is a symptom of this problem that she and all of the other Centrists refuse to address of even acknowledge. Another proof this is nothing but posturing is that she's deliberately ignoring the fact that realizing your rights are being taken away IS WOKE.

Exactly! and she’s still planning to do something but not doing anything to stop what’s going on. But she’s got time to criticize other democrats for using the word oligarchs instead of kings. Who cares what word she uses to call these evil people. And to stop being woke- I don’t think she knows what woke means.

What the hell with the "stop being weak" and "publicly confronting Trump’s picks"? According to Ballotpedia, Elissa Slotkin voted YES on NINE of his cabinet picks. She voted yes on KristifuckingNoem. How is that not being weak? I sent Elissa Slotkin money; I supported her election. She is not to be trusted. https://ballotpedia.org/How_senators_voted_on_Trump_Cabinet_nominees,_2025
