Thank you for being so supportive of my work.
On pausing, noticing, and remembering what still matters.
Hey Small Biters,
Another week gone, another storm weathered.
The headlines have been relentless — another round of investigations, political maneuvering, and chaos dressed up as governance. It’s easy to feel pulled in all directions, not by gravity, but by noise. And in the middle of it, maybe you’ve found yourself asking: What is this all adding up to?
Let me offer you this: maybe not everything has to add up right now.
As I write this, a cool breeze is moving the branches outside my window. A crow is cawing somewhere nearby. Nothing about that is news. But it’s real. And sometimes, on the weekends especially, it’s the real things that need our attention most.
In case you missed it, one of the quieter stories this week was how a group of independent journalists uncovered internal communications showing that several lawmakers had been aware of economic fallout from new tariffs before they were implemented — and said nothing. Transparency, once a shared value, is now a currency hoarded by the few.
And yet, there’s still power in paying attention. In saying, even softly: this matters.
So maybe this weekend isn’t for figuring it all out. Maybe it’s for softening your shoulders. For drinking coffee slowly. For letting the sun hit your skin. For talking to someone who makes you feel seen.
Or maybe it’s just for doing nothing — and not feeling guilty about it.
Because next week, the noise will rise again. But this weekend? It can still be yours.
✍️
We chase the signal, dodge the spin,
but what if truth lives deep within?
Beneath the clamor, inside the still,
where choice returns, and so does will.
🍽 A Small Bite to Carry
You don’t have to react to everything. You don’t have to be everywhere.
This weekend, just be here.
As always, thank you for showing up here. This space — like silence — is small, but not empty. I’ll meet you in the pause.
Warm regards,
Small Bites
Have a great weekend!!

I do know about the shady deals going on always
So the point to OUR DEMOCRACY is that no one person(s) is able to make a deal without the process running its course
It’s gonna take awhile but surely we’ll get it dun!!😊❤️
